Only fronts briefly and to exacerbate the rest of our spirals, focusing its attention on the other current fronters. He externalizes our own self-deprecating thoughts in a voice and face we already dislike, to make us realize that the thoughts are wrong, and to prompt those we know to disprove them. Insults, telling them to get a life, etc do not work. The most effective tactic is to do just what it wants - disprove what he is telling us, what we already think. In some cases, it also does this routine in order to push us to be selfish - to ask for something we have been wanting or needing, but too scared to mention otherwise. In the worst cases, he will demand those things for us, with the cruelest word choice they can manage. We're very sorry.
